Age of Reason is the home of Ali Mapletoft, a British multidisciplinary artist and creative director with flair for creating art that exudes a potent feminine frequency.
Influenced by her upbringing in Southern Africa during the revolutionary years spanning end of apartheid, Ali brings a unique perspective to her work. These cross cultural influences contribute to work that is ferociously feminine and unsettling beautiful.
Ali has an impressive portfolio spanning over two decades in the professional creative industries. Her distinguished career includes a repertoire of film and creative direction collaborations with esteemed giants such as Channel 4, BBC, Save The Children, Amnesty International and Vivienne Westwood.
Ali's vision and abilities have culminated in creating works of art that are unapologetically bold.
Age of Reason has evolved been sold in prestigious outlets such as Liberty London, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, and Matches Fashion. Ali's illustrations and designs have earned her features in illustrious publications like Vogue, The Times, Grazia, The Telegraph, the NME, and Drapers.
